[Star Trek]

"Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. It's five year mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before."

I've been on a Star Trek kick throughout Amiga Month, every night when I go to bed, I load up Netflix on my Roku, and play Voyager. I remember when it first came out, I did not like it very much but I've seen the voyager series a few times now, and it has grown on me.

I have always had a bad memory, details vanish over the years, and a general feeling of intuition takes over recall. I try to look at the good of it though, I can rewatch shows I have not seen for a year or two, and still enjoy them :)

Today, I loaded up Star Trek:25th Anniversary and goofed around it for a bit. I honestly did not get far, you have a training simulation in the beginning of which you are engaged in combat. I kept getting defeated.

I've always loved the concept of Star Trek, and forgive me if you will, but never quite caught on to Starwars.. I know, I know, it is a cardinal sin ;p Star Trek always captured that feeling of exploration, it was just always my style of Scifi.

[The end of Amiga Month!]

picture my daughter made

So, today marks the end of Amiga Month. It most certainly does not mark the end of me using my Amiga though. I like this computer, it is quirky, it is older, it is unusual - I sort of relate to it =)

This month has been a lot of fun for me, sure the computer does not offer nearly the range of tools my PC does, but that lack of features, and tools, puts me to the test. It requires me to fill in to take a larger part of the task I am trying to accomplish.

I have mixed feelings about the Amiga Month blog going away, part of me loved to create it, but another part worried there was not going to be enough material to cover for that day. I am far from an Amiga expert, there is so much more this computer can do in capable hands, and so much more to write about. I am more of a hobyist, and while I do love to play games on the Amiga, I do not like reviewing games because I feel like I would do the games a disservice, a lot of work went into all of them, and I would rather leave a good impression on them.

I will still keep a blog going though, although like many of the blogs on the Internet, it will not likely get updated every day, week, or even month :) I do plan on doing a follow up, after being back on my PC for a while which should be out in about another week or two. It will remain part of the Amiga Month blog portion of my site.

The blog will not focus on one thing either, which makes it so much easier, I love my Amiga but if I kept it just about the amiga, it would get really boring for me as I kept reiterating topics over and over again.

Anyway, thank you all for being part of this.
